White wine

28 ounces
San Marzano crushed tomatoes
28 ounces
1 tablespoon
Dried oregano
1 tablespoon
2 10-ounce-cans
Baby clams
2 10-ounce-cans
3 tablespoons
Fresh basil, minced
3 tablespoons
1 pound
Linguine pasta
1 pound
1/2 cup
Parmesan cheese, grated
1/2 cup

Directions


  1. Cut the sausage into ½-inch thick slices

  2. Heat a large heavy-bottomed pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat and brown the sausage

  3. Add the onion, garlic, and crushed red pepper, sautéing until the vegetables begin to get just browned

  4. Deglaze the pan with the white wine. Add the tomatoes and oregano and bring to a boil

  5. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for about 15 to 20 minutes, then add the clams with their juice, and basil, and bring back to a simmer

  6. While the sauce is simmering, cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and toss together with the sauce

  7. Serve hot with grated parmesan cheese on the side
