Directions


  1. Bring the water, vinegar, onions, garlic, fresh oregano, bay leaves, and peppercorns to a boil in the bottom of a steamer pot.

  2. In the top of the steamer pot, layer the potatoes and corn and steam for 5 minutes.

  3. Next, layer the sausages, then crab legs, then shrimp, and steam for another 10 minutes, or until the shrimp are just cooked through.

  4. While the seafood and sausage are cooking, combine the unsalted butter, minced garlic, dried oregano, and crushed red pepper in a small saucepan.

  5. Heat the butter mixture over low heat until just melted. Add the Romano cheese and remove from the heat immediately.

  6. Pour out the sausages, seafood, and vegetables onto a large platter or table covered with paper.

  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately with the butter mixture and lemons.
