Smoked Provolone Cheese, Shredded

Half and Half
1 1/3 cups

Unbaked Pie Shell

Directions


  1. Preheat the oven to 400ºF.

  2. Heat a heavy-bottomed pan over medium heat and brown the sausage, breaking up any large clumps. Drain on paper towels and reserve.

  3. While the sausage is cooling, press the pie crust into a pie dish and bake for about 10 minutes, or until just golden brown.

  4. Drop the oven temperature to 325ºF.

  5. Whisk together the eggs, half and half, and cheese.

  6. Spread the sausage, red peppers, and spinach evenly over the bottom of the par-baked pie shell.

  7. Pour the egg mixture over the top and bake for about 30-40 minutes, or until set and golden brown.

  8. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 5-10 minutes. Slice and serve warm.
